What Is In Our Drinking Water?
Water is essential to all life on Earth. The human body is composed of mostly water and it requires water for nearly all of its functions. To digest, to eliminate, to cleanse, the body requires water.
No other substance exists that can do what water can do. Water is the most vital substance to the human existence. Without water our bodies can’t function.
It is the most abundant resource on earth and is the building block of life as we know it.
If you don’t drink enough water, your body can’t properly cleanse your kidneys, your liver, your body can’t properly move your bowels, which allows your body to retain many more unhealthy toxins.
The longer these toxins stay in the body the more likely you are to get sick from these toxins as they circulate throughout your body.
Water is required for digesting and expelling everything, including the alternative beverages you choose to drink.
So why are there so many instances of water contamination around the country?
One would think that since water is the most important resource we have on earth, and how vital is it for the human existence in removing harmful substances from the body, that we would make it more of a priority to make sure everyone has clean drinkable water that is free of contaminants.
People are slowly becoming more and more aware of the variety of harmful toxins that are in our drinking water all around the country, including antibiotics and heavy metals.
Most water contains arsenic, fluoride, chlorine and a host of other unhealthy toxins.
So when we drink it we are actually drinking water that contains a mixture of toxic, poisonous chemicals that gets circulated throughout our bodies.
According to the Global Healing Center, “There are more than 80 ‘regulated’ contaminants and more unregulated toxins, like the rocket fuel component perchlorate which are present in most tap water.
Rocket fuel in our drinking water?
There are so many foreign chemicals found in our drinking water it is appalling.
Let’s focus on the 3 primary substances most commonly found in the water we drink, bathe, and cook with.
These chemicals are most commonly found in our drinking water all over the country and pose some of the greatest risks to the health of our families.
- Arsenic is an extremely dangerous heavy metal found in our drinking water and is classified as a category I carcinogen. Arsenic causes cancer. Though arsenic occurs naturally in the environment, people themselves are responsible for the presence of arsenic in our drinking water. The EPA set the acceptable standard for arsenic at 10 parts per billion in tap water. Its is very common for states to exceed this number however. Why is it even there in the first place?
- Fluoride is one of the most toxic substances known to man. So why it is prevalent in our drinking water as well as added to most brands of toothpaste? There isn’t even any data that supports fluorides effectiveness in fighting tooth decay. Yet fluoride is widely accepted as one of the most effective ways to inhibit the growth of cavities, though it’s been proven to be more toxic than lead. Even other countries around the world have begun to ban the fluoridation process of drinking water. So why is fluoride in our drinking water?
- Chlorine is commonly known to exist in the water of a swimming pool. Chlorine is used in swimming pools to kill bacteria in the water. This chemical can be inhaled in gas form and absorbed through the skin and therefore presents a danger even if you’re present in the room with it, to say nothing of drinking it. Once in the human body, it causes some very serious damage to our cells. In one research study chlorine was added to the water supply of lab rats the rats developed tumors in the liver kidneys and intestines. Even after this study was completed, showing some of the dangers possible from adding chlorine to our drinking, chlorinated drinking water is what we are all consuming every day.
Despite all of this evidence, why is the presence of harmful chemicals like arsenic, fluoride, and chlorine being consumed every day in our drinking water by everyone across the country?
Keep in mind we only examined 3 toxins here, and have not begun to scratch the surface on the myriad of other scary substances we are ingesting into our bodies every day through water, which is vital to sustaining life.
